Every once in a while God shows me just how amazing he is in simple, ordinary ways. The Janjua family has lived on our street for 7 years. But it wasn't until last year that we met. On a chance visit and because my husband has truly never met a stranger, I happened outside one Spring afternoon to find him talking to a beautiful woman while he weeded the garden. My boys were dangling from the trees in the yard and the whole scene struck me as so gentle and wonderful I smiled when I sat down and introduced myself.
Little did I know that this beautiful woman was the mother of my neighbor, Uzma. We immediately hit it off and it was in this first conversation Uzma's mom asked me to get to know her daughter. Not a few minutes later Uzma came down the street with her little boy and a tiny papoose, her newborn baby girl.
There are some people I meet and know I will be blessed for however long they are in my life, and the Janjua's are those people. We have come to share struggles, joys, and the childhood of our growing children. My boys have asked for Sibohan every day, and it was on one of those days I sat outside with my camera and captured the friendship they have formed.
God is good and Janjua's, you are a delight to my soul.
