Portraits: Miss Ball 2012

Not that long ago, Miss Ball's beautiful Mom, Renee went with me to Lavon Lake and we had one of the most inspiring maternity sessions I've ever done.

Now, to add to that inspiration, we have the pride and joy of the Ball household. Isn't she stunning? I sooo enjoy my friendship with Renee and it was special to spend the time with her and Mike as we hugged and cuddle little one.

You all are so dear to my heart. Enjoy your pics and I can't wait to see you soon. :)

Personal: Best Friends 2012

Every once in a while God shows me just how amazing he is in simple, ordinary ways. The Janjua family has lived on our street for 7 years. But it wasn't until last year that we met. On a chance visit and because my husband has truly never met a stranger, I happened outside one Spring afternoon to find him talking to a beautiful woman while he weeded the garden. My boys were dangling from the trees in the yard and the whole scene struck me as so gentle and wonderful I smiled when I sat down and introduced myself.

Little did I know that this beautiful woman was the mother of my neighbor, Uzma. We immediately hit it off and it was in this first conversation Uzma's mom asked me to get to know her daughter. Not a few minutes later Uzma came down the street with her little boy and a tiny papoose, her newborn baby girl.

There are some people I meet and know I will be blessed for however long they are in my life, and the Janjua's are those people. We have come to share struggles, joys, and the childhood of our growing children. My boys have asked for Sibohan every day, and it was on one of those days I sat outside with my camera and captured the friendship they have formed.

God is good and Janjua's, you are a delight to my soul.

Beloved: The Andersen Family 2012

I met Tracy and Virginia not long after I asked their daughter, Jeana, if I could photograph her. Jeana worked at our local Kroger pharmacy at the time and I was struck, not just by her beauty, but by her INNER beauty. She was so kind and so calm, in a job that many times, is very hectic by its nature.

When Jeana called me I was so thrilled. When she told me her parents would be coming and I got to meet them I was even more excited. It was very obvious to me after meeting them why Jeana was such a special lady.

These last few months, Jeana has been away and sharing her faith with those who don't know or have God. I wanted Jeana to have some new photos of her family while she is away and when I approached Tracy and Virginia they were more than happy to be my models. What a delight they are! It has been my honor and pleasure to show their love for one another and through these photos, their love and delight in their daughter. Andersen family, thank you always for your hearts, your faith and your friendship!

Portraits: Mom's Birthday Sunday 2012

My mom just had a wonderful birthday. I am so honored to be her daughter and so grateful for her laughter, her heart and her faith. The whole family got together at her house this last Sunday and I got to capture the cousins in all their glory, playing, laughing and enjoying this amazingly mild Winter. We had short sleeves and I was laying in the grass. Lovely time. Sweet family, thank you so much for your love and our time together!

Beloved: The Henkel Family 2011

I've known Aaron and Erica since 2008 when I did their wedding at the Grapevine Hilton. A small private affair that centered on them. The priority of the day was celebrating their covenant to each other with just a few family and friends. It was an honor to be their photographer and it continues to be. They continue to grow in their love for one another. Recently, they have met several challenges in their lives and have done it with a grace and kindness that has inspired me. We pray for one another and that is the best gift of all. Sweet family, as always, thank you for you and for your hearts. I am blessed to know you.
